The Hidden Victims of SB3: Families, Children, and Those With No Voice

The Hidden Victims of SB3: Families, Children, and Those With No Voice

SB3 IS STILL ON THE TABLE — AND WE’RE NOT DONE FIGHTING

We’ve been talking about this for months, and yet here we are—still waiting on what could be one of the most harmful and heartbreaking bills to hit Texas.

Senate Bill 3 (SB3) passed the Texas Senate on March 19, 2025 and is now sitting in the Texas House awaiting a public hearing. That means it’s still very much alive—and it’s still a very real threat to small businesses, alternative health access, and the people we love.

Just because it’s quiet right now doesn’t mean it’s over.

Let me make this personal.

We’ve talked about how this bill will shut down thousands of small businesses.

We’ve talked about how it threatens veterans and caregivers.

But we haven’t talked enough about the families with neurological disorders and seizure conditions who rely on CBD and hemp-derived THC to function.

People—especially children—who suffer from epilepsy and rare seizure conditions have found peace, relief, and life-changing results from CBD. This isn’t theory. This is proven.

Let Me Tell You About Charlotte Figi

Charlotte was just 3 months old when she had her first seizure. Diagnosed with Dravet Syndrome, she suffered through 300 grand mal seizures a week. Traditional pharmaceuticals weren’t helping—worse, they were making her symptoms more severe.

Her family turned to CBD, and within weeks, her seizures reduced to just a few per month. Her case helped bring national attention to the power of plant-based wellness and even inspired legislation in several states.

This bill would make that treatment a felony in Texas.

Let that sink in.

We are threatening to criminalize families for seeking the only option that worked.

That’s what SB3 and HB28 will do.

They’ll criminalize compassion. They’ll force families back into pharmaceuticals that weren’t working—and cost more. They’ll take power out of the people’s hands and put it into the pockets of people trying to monopolize medicine and strip away choice.

This is not just about business. This is not about politics. This is about people.

About parents.

About veterans.

About caregivers and kids and community members just trying to live better, safer, healthier lives.

So What Can You Do?

We cannot afford to be quiet.

1. Call your representatives.

2. Email your legislators.

3. Share this post and tag people who need to know.

We have to be louder than the people trying to silence us.

Because if SB3 passes, it’s not just tinctures and gummies disappearing—it’s hope.

Say NO to SB3. Say NO to HB28. Say YES to standing up for those who can’t fight for themselves.

Because the only way they win—is if we stop fighting.

And that’s just not going to happen
